San Francisco can and must invest in affordable housing and accessible healthcare, public transit, and childcare infrastructure. Policies that equitably fund these basic life needs help build a healthier society and a thriving economy.
EFFICIENCY IN GOVERNMENT
Progressive policies are only as effective as their accountable implementation, reliable enforcement, and consistent evaluation. A government that is transparent and encourages public engagement is fundamental to a functional democracy.
Tech can make life more efficient and convenient – but has increasingly empowered an extractive and exploitative monoculture. San Francisco can lead the tech industry in reasonable reforms and make its global mark modeling innovation that improves life for all – not profit for the 1%.
ETHICS IN TECH
SMARTER PUBLIC HEALTH
No politician has been able to address the escalating crises of homelessness, behavioral and mental health decline, or substance dependency with decades of disinvestment or incarceration. Real solutions mean consistent investment in systems reforms, regional collaboration with medical experts and equal emphasis on prevention as much as long-term treatment.
ARTS & Culture
For too long, arts and culture have been seen as window dressing to a thriving city’s core infrastructure, consistently falling low on any list of policy priorities. A progressive vision for our city recognizes that arts and culture are not just integral to telling our stories as San Franciscans – they’re foundational to our local economy, from small businesses and tourism to large institutions, cultural workers and individual artists.
